At The Pew Charitable Trusts, Devin Gallagher works with teams of producers, editors, and multimedia professionals in creating high-quality podcasts and videos on tight deadlines. He oversees the production of more than 50 assets each year, including more than two dozen original podcast episodes, along with short- and long-form videos, explainers, and promotional content. Across projects, Devin provides creative direction and editorial guidance while remaining closely involved from initial concept through final production. Other Past Work
Sentimental Journey is a deeply personal audio documentary in which Devin Gallagher retraces his grandfather’s experience serving in World War II. Private First Class John Gallagher Sr. was deployed to Western Germany shortly after completing his training and soon found himself on the front lines during the Battle of the Bulge. Blending family history with the historical record, the piece traces his experience through combat, survival, rescue, and his eventual return to postwar America.
Gearin' Up Bikes is a nonprofit used bike shop in Washington, D.C., that gives young people hands-on experience repairing and maintaining bicycles. The shop’s teenage mechanics learn practical technical skills while working alongside experienced mentors and serving their community.
Devin Gallagher produced this project video to highlight the organization’s mission, the young mechanics at the center of its work, and the role the shop plays in building skills, confidence, and opportunity through bicycle repair.
FEATURE FILM DOCUMENTARY: Kandahar Journals
KANDAHAR JOURNALS follows a photojournalist as he reflects on the experiences that shaped his psychological transformation while covering frontline combat in Kandahar, Afghanistan, from 2006 to 2010. The film screened internationally, received multiple awards, and was broadcast nationally in Canada on CBC.

FEATURE FILM DOCUMENTARY: Married in Spandex
Married in Spandex is a feature documentary about a young lesbian couple who travel from Philadelphia to Ames, Iowa, to get married by gold lamé devotee and rapper Leslie Hall. What begins as a quirky road trip with friends quickly becomes a heartfelt family affair in an unfamiliar state. The film screened internationally, received multiple awards, and was released on Hulu and Amazon.

PODCAST: Media on the Radio
Media on the Radio was an independently produced podcast exploring the business of media through conversations with working professionals. Across more than 70 episodes, filmmakers, journalists, television writers, social media marketers, and other media professionals shared candid stories about their careers, creative work, and how they broke into the industry.

Viral Video: Scamwow!
Over the years, Devin assisted Greenpeace USA in producing a series of spoof and comedy videos for advocacy campaigns aimed at corporations and political figures. Using humor and satire, the videos were designed to call attention to specific issues, engage audiences, and encourage their targets to change course.
The work was intentionally lighthearted and accessible while still serving a clear advocacy purpose. The first video featured below was created in response to the BP oil spill and received more than 150,000 organic views.
Devin produced and edited “We. Are. Greenpeace.”, a brand video that introduced audiences to Greenpeace’s mission, values, and global activism. The video received more than 148,000 views and served as Greenpeace’s primary “About Us” video for nearly a decade, making it one of the organization’s most enduring pieces of introductory content.
